Circa 1812 East Derry Historic District Derry, NH |
Circa 1812 - 1823, Federal, known as the James Thom Store converted to a residence and sold to the First Parish Church in 1873 and used as parsonage for over 100 years. Located in East Derry's Historic District this charming antique home has many original features, front and back staircase, spacious rooms and a great floor plan. The parsonage has been a physical presence in the village of East Derry since it was built. The exterior of the building has been altered only slightly since construction, so the building makes a strong architectural contribution to the character of the village, reflecting the federal style that characterizes the majority of buildings in the district. The interior and exterior features of the house offer good examples of the local use of the federal and Greek Revival styles, helping to define the taste and craftsmanship of the community from the 1820's through the post-Civil War era. Offered at $277,000.
